So what it is referencing is it uses Dual channel, where as LGA 2011 CPUS are quad channel. You want to run at least 2 sticks to get maximum performance from your RAM with your CPU.

A channel is just the path used to pull data off of RAM, and the more a chip has, the faster data throughput can be, if all channels have RAM. It's also a case of diminishing returns, which is why you don't see 4 of them on the 7700K. RAM with higher clocks, and certain sets of timings can also increase throughput, but @MageTank knows a bit more about it than me.

With Intel processors, you can have 2 sticks of RAM per channel. When you set your system up, you want to check your mainboard's manual. It will tell you which two slots are the primary slots of each channel. Of course, if you have 4 sticks, and your mainboard has 4 slots, just plug them all in.

Be aware that mITX boards (small, square boards with only 1 PCIe x16 slot), typically only have 2 slots for RAM, but it still supports 2 channels. You're just limited to 1 stick per channel on these boards.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.
