Backing up programs for installing new windows

You need to change the locations where the game launcher searches for your games after you reinstall the launcher, but you won't need to reinstall the games.

Hello. I'm about to upgrade my old win 7 with a win 8.1 key I got from kinguin. I have a lot of programs and games on the drive in installing the new version of windows, can I just use the windows backup and then restore it after the new version installed? Mainly so that I don't have to install all that stuff again.. (i have another drive I can backup the things too). Thanks in advance, cheers.

No, you can't do that.

Also you should do a clean install.
