Crysis questions

I never got into the crysis games. I was going to start now.

 

I'm wondering how it works?

 

Like if i buy crysis maximum edition on steam, its 30 dollars and linked to my steam account.

 

But what if i buy it retail on amazon for 12 dollars? How is it linked to me?

 

I'm assuming its origin, but I despise origin.

It should say DRM: Steam or Origin

It will give you a code that use can use to redeem through Origin or Steam.

I would skip Crysis 2 if I was you. It has a bunch of problems with it, like it is capped to 30 FPS unless you run the game in windowed (not fullscreen windowed) and the graphics are not all that nice. Just pick up Crysis 3 and Crysis 1.

Uhhh... crysis 1 was buggy for me. Sometimes it just refused to start, i even tried reasoning with it. (Win7 x64)

CPU: Intel Core i5 2450M @ 2.5Ghz RAM: 8GB GPU: HD Radeon 7470M (Potato) Mobo: No idea, probably a pumpkin.


My computer is a laptop.


BF3 on minimum settings = 25fps @ 720p

Crysis 1 doesn't really support x64. It's really a hit and miss if it will run. There are some fixes for it but they don't work for everyone. I can't run it no matter what on my FX8350 Win7 64bit.

I did play all of crysis 1 on my previous system but hadn't finished Warhead. I'm going to probably install a dual boot so I can play it.

Crysis 2 IMO is still worth playing and I never have had any problems with it and don't think it ever capped on me.
