USB OTG.Again

So I have a really old galaxy tab 2 and a otg cable.I tried to connect a launchpad and when I boot UNIPAD nothing  happens.Is there something I have to change in settings or something like that.

I also have a LG G5.I also have a type c to micro b adapter.If i connect the OTG cable to that.Would it work

download usb host check, i use it for usb OTG since it wasn't properly configured on my device. it only works if the hardware supports it though. that should all there is to it.

OTG sucks - it doesnt have settings - either ur device have support or it doesnt 

example: my toshiba at 300 can use mouse and keyboard but not usb flash drivers and my nexus 5 can even spin up my 2 TB ehdd or get things like usb internet dongle to work
