Hi so i've run into a dilemma and i want to know, can i stick the fan header thing into something else either than the system fan things on the motherboard? Like can i stick the fans connection thing into something else. I only have one case fan header on the motherboard and that's taken. I want to see if there is a way to do it instead of going and buying a fan splitter.

There are guides online for wiring the fans directly to the power supply, but other than that Im not too sure. The issue is controlling noise and fan speed at that point.

Fan splitters are like $4.

With the hour you're going to spend shoddily wiring these things to a molex connector or something, it's worth your time to just get a legit fan splitter.

Or you could make a DIY fan splitter, and just split each pin on the header.

Just buy a splitter and don't risk splicing wires.

i5 6600k @ 4.4ghz on Hyper 212 Evo

Powercolor RX 480 8Gb Red Devil @1330Mhz

Bottom line:  Don't be a spaz or an 800lb gorilla when installing your expensive CPU, and you won't have any problems. --Phate.exe
