Painting case

Hello guys, before considering anything else, I wanna gather some experience from people who painted some of their pc parts especially their case. The case would be the Phanteks enthoo primo SE B/W and I would basically remove everything inside to paint every part that is white and cover it with a metallic gold paint.

I have been looking to do the same thing and I have the same case. The paint they have on there already is some serious stuff. It is powder coated and very smooth. I was thinking of painting mine a metallic silver color to match my MOBO, RAM, and such. I think the easiest would be to either use a spray gun with metallic chips added to silver paint or straight up buy some in a can.There are tons or tiny crevices so getting it even without dripping might be hard. I plan to paint mine this summer so please share your results.

Just keeping this here as a If your doing the interior it is best to take apart the case to be able to hang up or lay the parts flat for painting each side. For metallic or gold paint I would recommend to look into automotive spray paints with high flake, they tend to give the best realistic metallic look.

Alright thanks. The color theme isn't final yet, still figuring out if the parts I want can be gold or made gold. The real issue here is finding a good gold paint that looks metallic not these flat gold color out there.

Yeah if Im painting it il remove everything and leave the back panel.

Yes it would require the rivets to be removed and replaced afterwards with new rivets or bolts, the Phanteks Enthoo Primo SE is however mainly bolted together making things a little easier.

I painted a Thermaltake Core X9 before they released the Snow Edition, I have a build log here:

 

Just make sure the paint areas are clean and free of dust. You can ruff the finish up with wet and dry prior to painting, but unless it is gloss, there really isn't any need. Just make sure you use a good primer and spend some time getting a good finish with the primer as its this that makes the top coat
