Mix memory

		Hi Guys and Gals, 
	

		I have a question for you all, if a pc has 1 x 8 GB memory and you add 1 x 4 (making the pc have 12 GB total) what are the potential issues? I've hear that windows doesn't like 12 GB but I can't remember what the issue is (bad memory lol) can anyone enlighten me?
	

(The memory is running at the same speed (1333) both on the same channel.)

You might want to keep them in different channels, but otherwise should be ok.

All memory sticks sharing the same channel should be identical in size.

No problems with a 4+8 config. At all, really. And while getting a second 8gb stick would be more adviseable, it's not as if adding a second stick would be a mistake or something.
