Three way crossover

Go to solution Solved by themctipers,

I used two hardware EqualizerS over using two crossovers

one equalizer is used for stereo left and right, which is set to be -12db on everything but my desired frequencies

the other is used for my subwoofer, with only the right side in and out. It is -12db on everything but the frequencies which I want, and I boost those by 12db to minimize it producing frequencies that aren't in the sub 200hz category

I need a three way crossover, that's preferably as cheap as possible (but if there's a noticible performance gain for a few extra dollars add that one instead)

Amazon canada links please

one crossover should be for the highs, the second one for the mids and the third one for the lows.

Input and output would be preferably be with banana plugs

if needed, I'll be using a onkyo interga M-508 amp, and a generic subwoofer, generic mid ranged and Panasonic SB-FS900 side speakers as the highs (Center/subwoofer not used)

all of these drivers need external amplification, which should be provided by the M-508.

impedance should be 8, as the amp/most of the speakers are 8 also.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

why?

you would probably get better quality using just the Panasonic.

also, crossovers can have many different crossover frequencies, you would need to determine that first.

This is the reason why I believe home audio needs to be fucking same as professional and use XLR and Speakon.
Beyond building your own cross over dont think there is any chance.

The problem with that is that then you cant (easily) make your own cable length. Home audio cables all you need is a pair of wire strippers.

The main 'control' unit is borked, so all I have is the speakers that work. The speakers from what I've tested doesn't have anything, but just is an enclosure and a driver..

I don't know what frequencies I want the crossover to actually do, but from the speakers in my setup it would be optimal if it was 20-200 or 500, 1000-3000, and 3000+
