Which GPU for rFactor2 on triple 27"

Go to solution Solved by GPUXPert,

AMD really excels at higher resolution gaming and eyefinity in particular, a triple 27" setup is a great example of this.
To get an idea of 7680x1440 performance you should look at 4K performance since there are no Crossfire 290 & SLI 780 Ti 7680x1440 reviews yet.

Two R9 290 cards only cost $100 more than a GTX 780 Ti and are as fast as two GTX 780 Ti cards in SLI, occasionally even faster.

What resolution are the monitors? I'm assuming 1080p.

780ti is the most powerful card out right now, but the extra VRAM on the R9-290/290X could be useful later on. I'd recommend waiting to see if another model of the 780ti comes out with more VRAM and get that.

Thanks guys. Running 5760x1080 at the moment.

On my M/Board (ASUS Crosshair V-Z, FX8350 Black Edition Unlocked) I have no spare PCI-E slots left cause of extra sound cards so SLi or XF is out.

You seem to be getting adequate performance atm. Why upgrade now?

Btw, screen size doesn't matter. It's the resolution that matters.

You need to check whether rFactor 2 fully utilized your hardware. The game is still unoptimized and only use 2 cores iinm.
