The desktop is trying to boot from it most likely. Remove it from boot priority altogether - the boot order may have been changed because of the presence of an operating system.

Most likely, but he said his actual HDD was corrupted. The way i see it the corrupted harddisk cant boot BECAUSE its corrupted but it could be a boot order mess up.. check your BIOS

If he's trying to boot from the corrupted hard drive, that's a battle he will never win.

If you can, get an enclosure, put the laptop hard drive into it, and connect that to your PC while it's live. It may cost extra money if you don't have one, but this might be the only way to reformat the drive.

I removed it from the boot priority and there is no 2nd boot option. Do I have to like change it to Raid mode? Im not really good in HDD

No. RAID mode is only when you're trying to combine drives together to form a single visible volume.

Okay, try booting from your PC's hard drive now if the BIOS can't even use the other one.

Then you will need to use my method with the enclosure or something similar. Is the hard drive actually functional still?

An enclosure is a device that the drive can fit into. I own one that converts the SATA connector into a USB connector(a board does the signal conversion). When you provide the drive with power, do you hear it spinning up?
