Hi,

I ordered an HP Windows convertible which has a USB type C port, and I'm considering buying a power bank. HP claims that the tablet can get up to 50% of its battery capacity in 30 minutes thanks to its USB type C port.

  • Do I need to get a power bank which has a USB type C port in order to charge the tablet, or can I get an adapter?
  • Would the power bank be able the correct intensity and voltage? It's an Anker PowerCore 10000 (Capacity:10000mAh, Input:5V/2A, Output:5V/2.4A(MAX))
  • The USB type C port is actually USB 2.0. The tablet also has a USB 3.0. Does this have an impact on the charging speed too, or just the data transfer rates?

Thanks

Have you looked at this? Anker PowerCore+ 20100 mAh.. it has a USB C port for charging but if you cant do that then an adapter should be fine. Also to answer your earlier question, yes it will affect the power delivery if one is 3.0 type C and the other is 2.0 Type C, since they can both transfer different amounts of power

I did, but this one is more expensive, which is why I was wondering if not having an actual USB-C could impact the power delivery.

Oh well yes, it will i believe. Look at this, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB#Power  A type C 3.0 to a Type C 2.0 would most likely travel at a 2.0 power delivery because USB downgrades to the lowest operating speed type in different cables/versions. They are both type C but different protocols
