for the first couple of hours the led's were working on both ram sticks.

i installed the aura program and then the g skill rgb program. all of a sudden only 1 stick's led's were working the other one was not.

any ideea what might have caused it?

also only one stick is showing in the asus aura.

Are all sticks being picked up by the system (not by Aura)?

Try removing the stick with working LEDs and moving the stick without working LEDs into another slot. If it still doesn't work, the LED or the controller for the LEDs may have broken. To me it seems like the controller may be dead as it's not being picked up in software. If so, you'll want to get a replacement through RMA.

Uninstall one of the programs and see if it works... You don't need both

This just happened to me, only both sticks are being picked up and utilized but the LED's in one aren't working. Boy am I agitated. But considering I have

Kraken x62 (cam software)

Aorus Gigabyte z270x gaming k7 (RGB fusion)

strix rx480 oc edition 8gb (aura RGB)

and this gskill ram ( gskill RGB)

Did you order yours from newegg very recently? that and the i7-7700k are the only things we have in common

been on g skill forums for the last hour.

apparently there's loads of people with the same problem. i think it's driver related.

That's what happens when the software crashes. G.Skill's software is also just a tweak version of Asus's aura software so i'd imagine both would need their "Asus Com service" running in the background.

Have you uninstalled both software? Try uninstalling asus's software first then clean uninstall G.Skill's software.

Mine froze and was stuck in the colors of the French flag.

Fix Here (Potential)

Had the exact same problem on my AX370-Gaming 5
All I had to do to fix it was to set to defaults in the G.Skill software.

Any resolution yet?

Use thaiphoon burner to check the RAM SPD. If the SPD is corrupted (most often the issue with the RGB RAM when it stops working), either RMA the RAM (they may refuse to claiming that using their RGB control software to inadvertently corrupt the SPD voided the warranty), or if you are willing, reflash the memory with the RAM's original SPD information, this will likely require the paid version of thaiphoon burner.

I just RMA'd the RAM and now use some much more reliable non-RGB and non-G.Skill ones.

Hi there I found the fix today,

I like you had the one lit DIMM and one seemingly dead one.

All you have to do is properly uninstall the application. I've attached the .PDF instructions follow them and hopefully you will be back in business.

Cheers
