Hey guys basically I'm in the mid of upgrading my pc. Currently 1080p 60hz with a gtx 970.

Ok I'm wanting to go to 1440p but unsure if I u should go 1440p 60hz with the 1080 or get a 1080ti and go with 1440p 144hz

Bare in mind I know to the monitors that are going to be brought and are both 24 inch size. I'm kinda stuck on what's best because I kinda want to future proof my pc as much as possible. The new hardware will be on a 1700x cpu so no bottleneck.  What would you guys doo

If you are going to future proof as much as possible then obviously would be 1080ti and 1440p 144hz. If you are talking about sensible and budget, then depends on the games you play. If you don't really play much fps, then 1080 with 1440p 60hz will be good enough...

If your budget is OK with it, 144hz, or even 75hz is a major improvement over a 60hz experience.

The 1080 Ti costs more than the 1080, but it also is more performance per dollar than the 1080, according to the LTT 1080 Ti review:

If you got the money, I'd go with 1440p 144hz, and the 1080 Ti. I personally wouldn't buy a 60hz monitor for gaming, anymore.

do you have "this" much to spend, or do you have "THIS" much to spend?

if that draws the picture of what your answer will be. one is the clearly superior experience, the other is the clearly cheaper experience.
