So I built a computer early last year. Internals were a gtx 970, fx6300, 8 gb of ram, a corsair case and cx 600 power supply, and finally some cheap msi motherboard from a local store. Until a few weeks ago, it was working just fine, but it fell over one day and that was it. The LED's flashed on for only half a second after the power supply was plugged in to the wall, and then the power button would stop working. So, I thought this was a psu issue and replaced it, and nothing. Then I proceeded to replace the CPU and the motherboard, and still nothing. I'm at a loss for what to do right now and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

If it fell over, it's possible the case deformed internally just enough to cause a piece of metal to touch something, shorting it out. For giggles, try building the PC on top of some cardboard or plywood on a table outside of the case. Literally just hookup the PSU, mobo, CPU/heatsink, and RAM - nothing else. No HDDs, no GPU, nothing else. Plug in a monitor to the on-board mobo graphics port, a keyboard, a mouse, and see if she boots.

Alright so right now I am connecting the power button connector from another case but leaving everything as it is and seeing if it works

Well, technically, PCs are robots, but sometimes they pretend to be humans so we don't hear about the robot uprising. We, I mean, they like to keep you, I mean, us humans in check. /r/TOTALLYNOTROBOTS
