Custom sidepanel for hp z600?

I have a hp z600 workstation that im using as my gaming rig, i have upgraded it and put in an rx480 and i am soon going to replace the xeon l5638 cpus with two xeon x5690 cpus.

 

now for my actual question, where should i start with modifying the case?

 

i would like to add a window to the sidepanel and paint the inside of the case but im not sure what i should begin with, sidepanels for this pc can cost a pretty penny and i dont want to ruin a sidepanel... (additionaly the sidepanel is weirdly shaped so mounting a window could be difficult)

For painting the inside of the case, that's pretty simple:

Take EVERYTHING out that you can, and just use black automotive primer for a matte black finish. 

For the sidepanel window, just make sure that you leave enough room on the top and bottom for the plexi or plastic piece that you put in. Also using standard size screws can help (getting the window to stay in with just glue can be a hassle.

Hi, have you upgraded your Z600 with X5690?   Many people had tried and the bios reported that too much power was needed for this cpu.
