Doom very low fps

I have an MSI R9 380 2G, 8gb ram and an i7 6700, but trying to run doom medium settings will always yield me around 20-15fps no matter what I do and what graphics settings I change. The card performs well in other titles such as GTA V and the witcher. I just cannot diagnose what is happening with Doom. All the help is greatly appreciated

@deXxterlab97 The GPU usage is flactuating between 50 - 100% but mostly close to a 100, while gpu temps are about 65C

I have used both, they gave me the same results more or less

Anti aliasing is usually a big factor.  Try reducing that first.

I agree.

With only 2GB VRAM AA shouldn't be enabled at all.

I was using FXAA, but disabling it completely still didn't help much. The only place where the fps spikes up a bit is when i melee a daemon, it goes up to about 30fps and goes right back down again.
