Do you want a secondary monitor?  This means you can work on one while researching or watching video on the other.

You will want a IPS monitor then with at least 60 FPS and higher resolution.

Pushing the budget, but its a great build.
Good monitors are very expensive though, if you want things like GSync with high refresh rates (Which you need both because high refresh without Free/GSync is terribly choppy)

Also, this is only for if you think you will want to overclock, otherwise theres more I can do with the budget

OP i suggest a ryzen build, a 1700 will crush a i7 7700k in Creative work, it also can be a gaming cpu.

6 core Intel 5820 + GTX 1070:

It is over budget and only includes a single monitor.  I have a two stick kit of RAM (2x8GB), but the X99 platform allows for quad channel memory.  When you add another 2x8GB kit, you will greatly increase the bandwidth (the amount of data that can move at the same time).

I like the Ryzen build most to be honest.  It is a new platform, so there might be some growing pains.  Take the IMC (Integrated Memory Controller) for example:  Ryzen has had some issues with RAM speed and running a 4x8GB kit.  That is why I chose the 2x16GB kit instead.

I still was not able to squeeze in a second monitor.  I would test the stock CPU cooling out for now, until more manufacturers make brackets for Ryzen at least.

@stconquest, on your 5820k build, i would change to cryorig h5 universal, but i dont know how does that cooler performs but i think that h5 would make better job at cooling (maybe im wrong)

and why cooler in 7700 build? i think with the stock one would cool perfectly...

The TS 140 is big.  It will cool the 5820 just fine.  The H5 won't be much better... if not worse.

I added a cooler for the 7700 because of noise and temperature stability.  The 7700 does clock up to 4.2 GHz.
