Nvidia Pascal laptop GPUs performance still disappointing

According to userbenchmark.com, mobile Pascal GPUs performance still can't catch up with desktop GPUs. Average performance difference is about 13% which is definitely better than the older Maxwell platform. However I would like to see no performance difference between laptop and desktop GPUs one day.

Yeah but how so they compare against previous years 940m and 740m and 950m and 750m and whatnot

You do realize that size still matters right? shrinking big hardware into small hardware and expect the exact performance is a complete lack of realism yet, I don't see the point of this ranting.

  You're right. Heat is still the biggest concern.

You have to understand that laptop GPU'S use less power, are clocked slightly lower and output more heat.
