Hi Guys.

I am planing to do a build inside the 900d case, but since i dont want to see the back or the bottom i want to do a Motherboard tray (not sure if this is the right word) and a plate to cover the bottom. I never did something like this before and would be happy to have some tips for beginners:)

First of all I dont know what material I should use. I thought about 3mm Aluminium and paint it black (and btw: any ideas what paint to use?). Any other suggestions?

Then the other big problem: I want to have the pump in the bottom so I need to go through the aluminium plate with my tubing and I cant find any fittings for this. Are there some special fittings for this kind of stuff?

And if anyone has made something like this and has some designs laying around please upload a picture:)

Sincerely

MasterR8

They make basement covers or midplates as they're also called, if you want to make it out of aluminum and mount it that will work, as for the tubing you need pass through fittings. For paint you can use regular spray paint, the automotive stuff tends to be some of the best stuff, for prep you'll want to use something like a self etching primer for bare metal before applying the top coat.
