Dual 1080 TI Power Supply?

KyleKyleKyle

Ok so I have a EVGA G3 750watt 80plus Goldmium Power supply. Will that be good enough to run two 1080 TI's ?

I also have a couple of RGB lighting strips to, so I don't want to overdo my PSU. What is the recommended PSU and will mine be enough?

I would go with 850W minimum to be safe. It will allow for more overclocking headroom too.

New Build (The Compromise): CPU - i7 9700K @ 5.1Ghz Mobo - ASRock Z390 Taichi | RAM - 16GB G.SKILL TridentZ RGB 3200CL14 @ 3466 14-14-14-30 1T | GPU - ASUS Strix GTX 1080 TI | Cooler - Corsair h100i Pro | SSDs - 500 GB 960 EVO + 500 GB 850 EVO + 1TB MX300 | Case - Coolermaster H500 | PSUEVGA 850 P2 | Monitor - LG 32GK850G-B 144hz 1440p | OSWindows 10 Pro.

Peripherals - Corsair K70 Lux RGB | Corsair Scimitar RGB | Audio-technica ATH M50X + Antlion Modmic 5 |

CPU/GPU history: Athlon 6000+/HD4850 > i7 2600k/GTX 580, R9 390, R9 Fury > i7 7700K/R9 Fury, 1080TI > Ryzen 1700/1080TI > i7 9700K/1080TI.

Other tech: Surface Pro 4 (i5/128GB), Lenovo Ideapad Y510P w/ Kali, OnePlus 6T (8G/128G), PS4 Slim.

75w (slot), 75w (6pin), 150w (8pin)

x2

600w gpu, cpu is like 95 or OC pushing it higher

You're edging it out

With 2 1080s it'd be fine, but 1080Ti is a little much

idk

When I ordered my PSU I thought I was ordering the 850, but for some reason I hit the 750 button. OK I will go order another one I guess.

You will likely go over the 750 Watt limit. 850 watts would be better suited for that build. Especial y if you were going to do some overclocking, which i would definitely recommend if you are paying that much for those GPU's.

I got a good 7700k so yes I will be overclocking, once I get my motherboard back (have to rma it if they let me).

I went into my local BestBuy today to see what they have, and they had GTX 1080s for 550 USD, was almost tempted.
