Best CPU within budget for build

Hello, I wondering what would be the best combination with https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16813132578 asus motherboard having a $250-300 budget. Also if anyone has some recommendations in terms of GPU and ram to go along with this that would be awesome.

i5-6400 or i5-6500 would be good for that board. I don't know about the i7-6700 though.

But why put it in a H110 board though?

What's wrong with that?

H110 is bad lol. If you're using that high end of a CPU then go for a H170 board.

So? You still didn't answer my quesion. You just showed me a graph with no explanation whatsoever.

The graph was supposed to be the explanation. H110 is not as good as H170. If you are using a high end chip why wouldn't you go for a better board?

You clearly don't know what you are talking about and tried to avoid my question all the time. I give up.

How else am I supposed to answer your question? Use the graph I already showed you and and put it into words that you can understand?

How about explain the differences yourself? If you can't explain the differences to someone without using words and justify why somebody might need 20 chipset PCI-E lanes over 16 for a core i7, then frankly you need to stop being misleading and show yourself out.

Yeah, an i5-6400 or i5-6500 would be fine.

RX 480 and 16GB RAM would also be good.

It states it's a H170 chip-set on the site, so I'm not sure why people are bringing up the H110 chip-set. Is there any point in getting a 7th gen chip over the 6th gen or should I just stick to either the 6500/6700 for the system? In terms of 6500 vs 6700 would it be an advantage in getting the i7 for games that are cpu intensive?

Lastly It seems like my friend has a budget of around $200 for a GPU and was looking into a 1050 TI, so I was wondering how it holds it versus the recommended RX 480 granted it's about $100 more.

6th gen is perfectly fine. the 7th gen i5s perform roughly 10% faster in a best case scenario.

Currency?

The RX 480 is significantly faster than the GTX 1050Ti. Even the RX 470 is faster than the 1050Ti.

The RX 470 is typically around 50% faster than GTX 1050Ti.

USD, I'll let them know the RX 480  or 470 is his best route.

Don't they cost the same?

If you're going 7th gen, you either need to make sure that the bios has already been updated on the 100 series chipset to support the 7th gen chips, or you'll need a 6th gen chip on hand to get the board updated to the needed bios.

k. I'd recommend the MSI Armor OC model or the Asus ROG

They have the same launch MSRP but it would be easier to find the 6th gen for lower than MSRP.
