Some help finding a storekeeper/shop program

Hi guys so one of my brothers had approached me saying he wished to start a business selling car parts. Both actual car parts and things like break fluid. He came and asked me about programs that could help him with this. Like telling him how much of a product he has left and how much he has sold and it being put out of the system once he has scanned it. The problem is i have absolutely no idea on which programs because i have 0 experience in this regard. I asked my work for the dole boss who has some experience and he recommeneded something called SAP. 

 

If anyone has any suggestions please tell me and after a look at it, an explanation on possibly how to set them up? I want to help him get all the problems out of the way with this because i really want him to succeed.

You can use Wordpress & WooCommerce. 

 

WC is a massive e-commerce system with sosososo many plugins/extensions available. It's easy to set up, easy to use and integrates with all the POS systems and everything else you could want.

So, in summary, it gives you an online platform to sell the car parts & consumables from and will also integrate with a POS system so any sales "in store" are also tracked and stock updated etc.

 

SAP is an extremely complex software and very expensive.

Something like this you can use a custom Website solution or buy ready made solutions. 

In the end he really needs inventory system, but you will have to find the best for him, in terms of cost, ease of use and actually bringing value to his business. Small to medium size businesses can spend 3 months or longer on making a choice like this purely with research.

What about MYOB?

He apparently mentioend that to me is that the same thing as these 2 or are they a complimentary program? Because thats apparently what he will be using to manage the business.
