i3 6100 running at 90 C

So I was playing WOW at the 8 graphical setting and I usually play at that setting and today I opened MSI afterburner bc I was curious of what my frame rate was and how hot my cpu was. Turns out after about 20 minutes of playing my cpu heats up to 90 - 93 C. So for precautions I shut down wow and let my cpu cool off. But I usually play Wow for hours at a time with no crashes. Is it normal for an i3 6100 to run this hot with a stock heatsink? Im thinking of buying a 212 evo for it, should cool it down. Is it dangerous for it to be at 90+ C?

also side note I also play rainbow six siege and I havent gotten the temps on that game yet, but I havent experienced any crashed so far.

Stock coolers suck ass, I get anywhere between 37°C and 88°C just being on the desktop. Invest in a better cooler.

Don't talk about stale memes.

no a stock cooler with the i3 should not reach that temperature. check for dust, check if fans spinning properly. and did u fiddle with ram xmp profile?

How's the case airflow? That seems a bit high.

The case airflow is fine, my rig is in a corsair carbide 200R with both fans running, Im thinking it might be the thermal paste on the cpu heatsink?
