Everyone gave you suggestions on what to get in the previous thread. There is no need to make a new one, just bump the older one if  you're still confused on what to get.

Attach the modmic and choose a headphone from these:

Open back - HD558 / AD700X

Closed back - DT770

If you're still skeptical on what to get, go out and audition them in a nearby audio store. They are well known everywhere so its not that hard to find the headphones.

EDIT: If you want to know the characters or more choices look here

598 is better than 558 but they kinda sound similar. There's a simple mod in youtube that can guide you to turn your 558 to sound almost identical to 598.

I will not explain further as @Dackzy and other members have already explained in the previous thread.

I personally own a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M40x and I must say they are amazing.  I think they would be great for you are extremely comfortable.  But remember that these are studio monitor headphones and are therefore tuned as flat (accurate) as possible, so you wont get over the top, boosted base like in crappy beats and normal consumer grade headphones.  They are well built, extremely ergonomic, and extremely good value as well.              9_9

Nah, by what i meant was, i wasn't going to recommend him anymore headphones from what you and others already recommended to him.

IIRC, you guys gave him 5 choices and still he is asking X and Y, bla bla bla.. He doesn't know what he wants.

well, the audio market is a bit weird since it isn't black and white, like most tech.

I would personally say that it is hard to hate on the HD558 because there isn't any harsh treble or huge bass boost, but ofc some people want that bass. It is also a good pair of headphones to try and then see if you want more bass or more treble or even more mids (or less).

The HD558 are very balanced in how they sound, no big bass boost or treble boost, they have a little mid-bass and bass boost, which is where a lot of bass is today and it makes them a bit more "fun" compared to headphones without the little boost. The HD558 are also fairly detailed, which means that you will be able to hear the smaller details in the music (which can give you goosebumps).

Dude, we already gave you all the data you need in order to make a decision, also from the previous thread.

Like i said previously, go out and test the recommended to know what you want, words will give you a brief explanation on what the characters of the headphones will be, but your ears will be the better judge of what the headphones are.
