Sounds like you got the right RAM for this build at this point, since there are stories that there are issues with above 2400mhz ram, which they did say they are going to have a patch in the next 1-2 months.

Either way, I could just not enable XMP if i would pick up some higher rated DIMMS.

why do you want such a low quality motherboard? I would at least get a ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Professional Gaming for any R7 CPU

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

what don't you like about this one? only real differences i've seen are audio codec, and no internal usb 3.1 other than b350 vs x370 which all the info we have is that b350 doesn't support SLI right?

bad power phasing and X370 also has 8 lines vs 6 lines on the B350 and ofc no multi GPU

"lines" which lines are you referring to? pcie 2? sata? both i don't care about

mutli gpu i don't care about either

so leaves us with power delivery care to expand? From what I see the main difference in design is a 42A choke vs 45A choke right?

Yes I am referring to PCIe 2.

It has 9 power phase delivery which is shit and from what I can see then it is 6 + 3, the better power phase the more stable your system will be it is as simple as that, the X370 gaming pro has 16 phase and uses 60A chokes which are way way better for OCing and stability, even the X370 gaming would be a decent upgrade from that shitty 9 phase. Onboard audio also sees a decent upgrade when moving to a better motherboard. Basically every single cap sees an upgrade.

I really don't know where you're getting 60A and 16 phases from, the highest I've seen after looking through ALL available boards is 12 phases...most are 7+3, 7+1,6+3, or flat 6 I've noticed

But, could you show me the difference between picking a 6+3 over a 7+1 or 7+3 such as overclocking examples?

M8 go to their website and look ar the Asrock X370 Gaming professional, not the x370 gaming.

The low end boards like the one you have chosen are made for running stock speeds and not 100% CPU load that often (with power hungry chips like R7), A 12 phase mortherboard is generally also just for stock, maybe a tiny bit of OC, 16 phases are pretty decent for OCing. If you really dumb this down to why more phases are better, then it is because your CPU will get fewer and smaller power spikes, which helps with stability and the more stable your CPU is the more you can OC it.

Why do you think that people who want to OC like mad people often choose a board like a Asus extreme? A Asus z170 extreme holds 6 world records for OCing or something like that
