For CPU all you need is a new bracket as for GPU it usually takes a couple of months to have a block out for new cards, reference designs are recommended as they are the first that get made usually.

Planning out a custom cooling system with EK parts (or similar company) for R7-1800x & eventually Vega GPU. But this stuff is all new.. soooooooooo..

Wanting to pick the brains of seasoned liquid cooling veterans on how long companies like EK usually take to adopt and create mounting options for CPU and GPU from past experience.

Im kind of in limbo at this stage and looking to run stock with basic cooling options on the rig. Trying to avoid spending money on all-in-one options as custom loop will replace it unless you guys can advise me otherwise.

The EK Predator 360 line up would have been go to option initially but thats no longer an option sadly :(

As said, the supremacy blocks will prob ship with a bracket by the time Ryzen releases - a quick email before buying should be ok. As for GPU's you really need to be careful - Some GPU's are NEVER supported by EK as I found out with my 280X Vapor X - I had to mod a XSPC block from a 290 to work.

Best info is to wait a while, see what blocks are released and buy a suitable card - trust me, it's frustrating if you do it the opposite way around and a block is never released.

Good advice!! thanks :)  Really hoping the R7 and Vega combo will pay off for the wait.

I was looking at ek stuff and some of there cpu blocks already have am4 support you just need to check the option when your order it. Think its a 1 cent charge

Cheers.. I had a feeling CPU blocks will be the easy part with rapid adoption.. GPU I'm in the dark.

For the gpu like @W-L said you're going to have to wait a few months
