ITs been two years since I purchased my first three display setup. Recently I have gotton a few offers for buying the displays I am using, so I decided it might be time for an upgrade.

Complaints about my current displays:

  • They are TV's
  • They have Massive stands
  • 1 inch bezels, enough said
  • They are wobbly and crooked
  • they have bad color
  • Response time

My new choice needs to be, and should be a big improvement.

What I need

  • 23-24inches. 24Inch most
  • Vesa Mounting compatibility
  • subtle, simplistic
  • Small bezels
  • Looks like metal, just please no glossy plastic
  • I really care about how it looks

My budget is under $130 USD, I live in the US.

Here are some options I've found:

Thank you for your help.

Get the AOC you listed. I would have chosen the Acer but it has no mounting capabilities without extra hardware.

This would also be a good choice:

I may be able to expand the budget for extra mounting gear if the quality of the display is that noticeable. I currently have that Acer display on another machine and its one of the best displays I have ever seen. But I'm not good at judging that.

The Asus I mentioned I think has comparable image quality to the Acer so I would just get that so you can save some money.

But aside from everything but image quality, which is better, the one you recommended, the Acer I found, or the AOC I found?

I would say the AOC but you can't go wrong with any of them. I also just realized the AOC also requires an attachment for VESA too. The Asus has VESA mounting capabilities and I don't think the slightly better color is worth spending $30 or so for an adapter. If you want to spend that much you might as well get a better monitor with VESA mounts such as this

I would be using them for gaming to, I just overall can't spend more than 400 USD on monitors if even. And I would trade three lesser displays to one better looking larger one anytime considering 4k is a lot more expensive and my workflow is designed around screen real estate. So gaming is occasional / a secondary purpose.
