Its not enough upgrade over 1080p, and nor you can achice the high fps you can in Full HD, nor the graphical fidelity of 4K, in my eyes its just not worth it.

Good Answer Honestly. This and the fact 1440P is a weird middle ground that will get skipped over in the process of switching from 1080p to 4k soon. it made more sense before 4k was a easy and decently priced option to it like it is now

I Feel like if your just buying one right now its hard to justify 1440p. It comes at a much higher price over 1080p but not far from 4k. 4k being the standard moving forward i would feel like why not skip over 1440p Unless you really Need 144hz.

4k as standart is years away. I own a 1080p, 1440p and 4k Display. And 1080p and 1440p is by far the best. Like i said. 1440p is the perfect sweetspot. 4k is ridiculous overrated.

I wouldn't say years, almost all non budget tvs are 4k and even budget tvs are 4k now. its pretty much the standard there.

i Also wouldnt its ridiculously overrated if your someone who has a GPU to push it or watch 4k blu rays. For workspace on a monitor its crazy useful with multiple windows open or clear ass text.  but most just watch cable tv and they only provide shitty 1080p that is so compressed it looks way worse then 1080p. and yes in this situation its complete overkill and useless

personally  I have 3 4k displays

28 inch monitor

43 inch tv i use as a monitor that supports 4:4:4 chroma 60hz  and a

60inch 4k tv

Overall i dont think it will be the standard due to the amazing benefits its just becoming so cheap that why would you pick up a 1080p tv ect. over the 4k one.   for the Monitor the benefit is much bigger IMO

I talk about Gaming. I dont care about TV since almost no Source delivere 4k. 0.7% of Steam Users use 4K. 1.7% use 1440p. 56% use Resolution below 1080p. 4k is overrated and the amount of FPS you lose for almost no visual benefit is insane. Atm. 4K is just a marketing Joke to fool People off their Money (PS4pro for Example and that isnt even true 4K.).
