I've been looking for an AMD equivalent to Gamestream but i don't know which one is best. I would like to use it outside of my home so Steam In Home Streaming is ruled out. Also how much 4G would 720 60 fps streaming take up ofr a 1 hour stream (for gamestream.) Thanks in advance

I don't know of any alternatives; however I do know that streaming in HD for up to an hour will use a huge amount of data. I used up around 3GBs in about an hour once while watching Netflix on my phone.

Ok thanks for the Data info, I have a 1GB allowance so It'd be unwise to play on data for long periods of time. Also just for the record I'd be using android for the streamer.

You could try using KinoConsole. Never used it myself but it looks like it would work with AMD and Android.

Mixed reviews... I'll give it a try it is free after all. Most of these streamers are reccomending 5GHZ WiFi, do WiFi speeds matter?

Yeah that looks good. Again, I haven't tried it; but with 4 stars and 17,000 reviews it looks good. It does also say it's AMD compatible.

I think WiFi speeds would make a difference, however my WiFi is only 7Mb/s and I can do Nvidia GameStreaming just fine.

I'll give that a try too. It has better reviews than KinoConsole and is much more popular in terms of downloads

7Mb/s down or up? My download is 15 and upload is 1

Your internet speeds doesn't matter at all, it's all about the speed of your internal network (i.e. your router and any switches you have).

Also if you were to stream over the internet, an upload of 1 is not enough...even for 720p...

5GHz wifi technically has a lot more throughput than 2.4GHz wifi does where it does matter if you want to have a nice streaming experience as a 5GHz wifi network would allow a lot more data to be transported.

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

If I were to connect my PC to my WiFi via Ethernet, would it be faster than wireless 5GHZ? Sorry that may not make sense, but I'm a noob when it comes to WiFi and internet xD

If you were to connect your PC by Ethernet and have your phone connected to 5GHz (or 2.4GHz), yes, it would reduce latency and increase bandwidth by a bit as your computer and phone aren't fighting anymore for the bandwidth your router can handle.

With that setup, would I be set for 720 60 streaming?

Are you only talking about streaming in your house? Yes

If you're talking about streaming to your phone by 4G then no, connecting your PC by ethernet won't increase your internet speeds as that's controlled by your ISP, not you.

Ok. I'd like to stream to another network because my laptop is crap and my PC isn't and I do work on the go. I'll find out if the networkis 5Ghz, but for now I can tell you that it has 20-35 down and 3-4 up.

If you're streaming over the internet, just be prepared for a few hundred ms of latency and dropped frames...

3-4 up is however actually enough for 720p compressed soooo :P

Also, a 5GHz network won't necessarily make a difference (compared to a 2.4GHz network) if you're streaming over the internet as it's now limited to what speed the ISPs have set rather than the internal network setup.

I can confirm that parsec is by far the best one for local lan game streaming. At least from Gaming pc to laptop. I just played an hour or more of assassins creed black flag and it even supported 1920x1080. But as that got a bit blotchy at times i set the resolution one setting lower, and worked like a charm. Even the thrustmaster controller on my laptop worked fine with assassins creed. Others i tried, lite remotr or splashtop were @%&@#&$ compared to this experience. The latter does not support fullscreen and the former does not support controller, at least not the one on my laptop. Havent tried other platforms like android or connections like internet but as soon as i do i'll let you know the results... (ofcourse, this is my personal experience, and opinion. but like the apps i mentioned it is free and may be ignored or disagreed with.)
