I have a NAS and some servers and I want to access them outside of my home network. A large problem that I have run into is that my network is Double-NATed. Any help?

can you fix / remove the double NAT?

.... IPv6 without the double NAT?

A VPN should work. Since it'd basically be the same thing as connecting from within the network. Just setup a VPN server on your router and connect to it.

How do I set one up on a D-Link 1900ac router I also want to get an AP or use another router to extend my wifi broadcast signal.

Not sure. It'd be in the documentation if it's possible on the stock OS but if not then see if DD-WRT or OpenWRT can be installed on your router. Those should have VPN server capabilities.

Otherwise dig out an old desktop you have lying around and install pfSense on it. That's what I ended up doing since the router I had when I set all my working stuff up didn't have VPN server capabilities. Although in my case I could have just port-forwarded my server but, due to the security concerns port-forwarding raises, I opted for using a VPN.

By double NAT'ed do you mean the NAT on your home network and the CGNAT on your ISP? If so that'll be tricky unless your ISP dedicates some ports they can forward to you.

I believe so, do you have any good VPN programs?

@ElfFriend what application would you use to access the VPN?

OpenVPN can be used to connect to the VPN server. Then you can access things as though you're within your network using whatever methods you use to connect to your servers atm.
