So based on the current specs and prices that have been leaked, do you guys think I should upgrade to the Ryzen 1700 and would I get to keep my cooler?

Current build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yvLjbj

i mean if you really need an 8 core cpu for your use case then you could go for it otherwise it doesn't seem worth.

I play Arma a lot and do coding for it. I use photoshop, premiere a bit. I run a test server for when I'm testing my code. I used to do streaming but I've been too busy to go back to it but I might.

yup, the new cpu will help, more cores help cpu intensive task.

Arma is a Since Core based Game ( at least it used to be and now, their multicore technology is terrible anyways ) , I still dont think they use Multiple Cores in their engine at all and do believe a lower core count + higher clocks would suffice. If AMD's new technology and calculations per second is dramatically improved, it would make a difference but not much. I think your current i7 would do everything you listed perfectly fine but if you don't have enough CPU Processing Power to handle those workloads, AMD would be a good upgrade.
