I have a thermaltake toughpower psu. Although it was going to be trashed I just grabbed it. It still works and powers up. But it's missing all of its modular connectors . I need a cpu connector, sata, and molex for my fans maybe even a pci connection. Where can I buy replacements cables for this or can I? Thermaltake said they no longer sell them but can't I just put in an aftermarket cable?

Oh man, Thermaltake isn't the best manufacturer :/

Thermaltake has plenty of good PSUs and plenty of bad ones. The Toughpower in general is pretty good.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Even a defective PSU can turn on and seem to work. That doesn't mean anything...

You need a bunch of equipment to test a PSU, at least some Resistors and an osciloscope to test the voltage...

You can't!
They are specific for the PSU.

Because your PSU is EOL for about 10 years or so perhaps?!
And that's why it got thtown out, because it's old and causes problems with some hardware??

So it's better to NOT use it instead of trying to and killing your hardware...

1. Thermaltake isn't really a manufacturer at all, they just ask other people to manufacture the things they want.

2. You can't say it that way, you always have to look at the individual products! To say that a manufacturer is bad is most of the times just false...

And in this case the age of the PSU could be problematic, because it looks like something from the early 2000s...

If we're lucky we're talking about a CWT PSH based unit...

Thanks for the heads up. I thought maybe I could get a little bit of juice out of it. I've got a brand new rosewill I will use.
