except csgo and maybe overwatch. I really don't think I'll need a 144hz unless I'm gonna go pro (which I'm not), but maybe I'm wrong?

It's a pretty night and day difference just to have 144hz for an fps game, CS:GO will hit high frame rates easily on about any modern CPU

What's the budget for the build?

and I surely hope that wasn't going to be a 3GB 1060, in either case I'd say the 480 is a better buy than the 1060, especially factoring in free-sync savings, a minor factor being it's seemingly superior DX12/Vulkan scaling in games with those APIs well implemented

or course the even cheaper RX 470 will probably do everything you want to do

And Overwatch can hit high fps on anything an i3 or above, although I'd highly suggest waiting for the low end Ryzen chips if at all possible, since it should be far better for the money compared to a G4560

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
