So im building a new computer for gaming and some other things and i was wondering if this was a good build. I want a good cpu just in case i find out i want to do  video editing or something.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1ZLXe

Im pretty sure on what i want for the cpu and cooler.

The motherboard looks amazing and i like asus' rog and digi stuff

I like how the ram looks and its good performance.

I am positive i want 500GB in raid0 but im not sure what drive to put all my other stuff on. Like a seagate or WD 2TB

i want that case.

Not sure on the power supply but i need platinum and i will be overclocking.

My gpu atm will be a 650 ti boost but i will eventually upgrade to a 780 ti or 290x

Budget <$2000

I have no idea what os i want.....

Thanks for your help

Looks good. You can cut down on the wattage if you don't plan SLI later on.

If you're not doing video editing professionally or anything other than just gaming videos, you don't need an i7.

The system is overkill in general.

What would you need ssd's in raid 0 for? Ssd's don't feel faster in raid 0 and can at times even be slower than a single ssd. What do you need 500GB for?

Why do you need platinum?

What resolution are you gaming at? 780 Ti and 290x aren't mean for 1080p or lower.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

Add the extra storage when you "think" of video editing... other wise its not needed.

When you actually have many rendered or reference files that you can't delete* (most you can especially after a year or so)
