So Im building a budget build for myself. And i was lucky enough to get a old P.C for free from my grandmother.

Bad news is it needs some new parts. (note it is a Slim ITX case.)

it needs a new
-CPU

-Motherboard
-ram
-GPU
-Keyboard
-mouse
-Possibly a power supply

(i have a monitor)

I made a list of parts i want to get but im not sure if its good. Thoughts?

(also any power supply recommendations)

Budget: $350 USD

Essentially you need to build a computer in a crap case?

yes exactly

1. What do you have left over from your grandmother's PC?

2. Why not just buy a case and call it a new PC build?

Case, hardrive, PSU (maybe)

OEM PSU's are often not vary reliable, and can be custom made to not work with anything other than their intended unit.

ok. so it was a prebuild pc? then the psu is probably shit. The harddrive? is it still good? did you do a S.M.A.R.T check? no? do that first. an old harddrive is probably ready for a dumpster. The case is a slim itx. good luck building in that one. i know it sounds harsh. but just look for a new build and use pcpartpicker.

Then find a local way to make money first. Not hard.

Second, when you have enough saved up, you'll thank us for keeping you from going "as cheap as possible" because you won't get nearly the performance bar you want from that.
