*insert deep sigh here* another one...

 

few things:

- 7 games is extremely impractical and probably more expensive than making seperate systems

- hackintoshing is a legal greyzone at best, and is already difficult when you can get the perfect hardware for it, doing it in a virtualized enviroment with gpu passtrough wont make that any eassier.

- there wouldnt really a purpose for this, aside from just being a really expensive, really impractical novelty item.

Linux and Windows, yes. Wendell from Level1 uses that kind of solution for his gaming needs. Where he VMs Windows over Linux. Hackintosh, being against Apple's ToS, isn't really a thing one should talk about here. As for making video... Any Linux video from LTT would be miracle. Linus doesn't seem to like Linux.

I actually built this exact thing! I it running Linux and Windows in VMs on an X99 board and a hackintosh Z97 system!

 

Though I will say one thing, hackintosh is completely impractical. I don't understand these people who that spend thousands of dollars on a hackintosh system that has all the problems that you are trying to get away from with MacOS. My advice. Buy an old MacPro and hook it up to two other systems for Linus and Windows. Hackintoshing is not worth the time, money, and effort when the result is never "really" stable.

 

 

I've been building Hackintoshes for about 3 years now. As much as I love the idea, I always run into major issues that in the end I ask myself, "Why did I even try this?"
