So, just got a x62 kraken as my h110i pump died, i never really fiddled with the pump on the h110 only the fans.

If you change it to performance mode, the rpm of the pump increases. Wouldn't that be worse for cooling as the water spends less time going through the radiator?

With larger/faster pumps (4800 RPM and higher flow) in a custom water loops, there is a point of diminishing return in increasing flow rate, but too much flow is never an issue.  AIO pumps wouldn't exactly fall into the excessive category by any means.

In the end, it all balances out and the only thing that really impacts performance negatively is too little flow and even at that, it was have to be under flowing by a lot to even notice.

No, it is performance mode after all xD

So would you say go for silent then if it's not gonna really effect it too much?

AFAIK, silent mode slows down the fans as well... Which does affect performance.

Fans and pump have separate controls though

Then use silent mode for the pump, it shouldn't affect performance (Much)
