1 rad vs 2 rads concerning cooling efficiency

So I'm in the early stages of planning my next loop and had a quick question about efficiency. Currently, my loop is pump/res > GPU > CPU > 480 rad. My next intended case does not accommodate a 480mm radiator so I was looking at a new config with the radiators split and run a loop as pump/res > GPU > 240 rad > CPU > 240 rad. My question is, how would the efficiency of cooling compare between these two configs? Is 2 smaller radiators more efficient, less efficient, or are they the same and I'm just overthinking things? Thanks.

240+240 = 480 it's going to be pretty much the same, depending on the rads you buy.  Might loose some with one of the rads being an intake (and bringing hot air into the case) and the other being a exhaust, but for the most part it'll be similar.
