HELP BIOS WONT WORK

I brought my PC second hand for an idiot who did not even have the power going to the graphics card when I bought it. However the BIOS, when I turn on or restart my PC to enter the BIOS I need to press enter I press enter not holding it down just tapping constantly then it flashes black then shows a white _ flashing in the top left my cursor is shown and can move then it just goes into pitch black. I've tried going in with F11 F12 all of them but they all do the same thing. I've tried getting rid of the graphics card and going off the motherboard CPU graphics. I only have one stick of RAM. the pc will keep on running until I turn it off and I've tried giving it 10 mins to load but nothing. i have not tried to clear the cmos because I don't have any screw drives and haven't seen the cmos. If it helps this is the motherboard. gigabyte Z97N-Gaming 5.

was this deal too good to be true? because this could be failed BIOS update or anything else that corrupted the BIOS in witch case this motherboard is smoked

Sounds like its trying to boot off something that doesn't work. Unplug the drive and any usb devices and you should get into the bios np when you turn it on no pressing keys needed.

no it wasnt the best deal in the world although I think im just gonna build a new one next year

I've tried all posable combos for the drives being unplugged or plugged in. I think it's a duff board.

Well if you have all of them unplugged then it forces it into the bios. It will only boot off sata 0 though. You cannot plug it into sata 1 and expect it to work.
