Should I reset my whole PC

xDylanio

Well I really don't like how my pc feels. It doesn't feel "fresh". I was thinking, how could I reset my pc. Like get a new clean install of win 10 (I have the product key) and get all of my HDD'S cleared out and my SSD. Except one HDD. I want to keep some of my old videos on there. My question is should I do it. And how can I get a clean install while also clearing out my ssd and HDD.

-EDIT- Also I have a billion games that I would have to reinstall. http://prntscr.com/ea2sem

CPU - i7-4790k

GPU - MSI 980 Ti

Mobo - MSI Z97 Gaming 5

Memory - 32 GB DDR3

Storage - 3.4 TB

I usually first set view to show hidden files and folders, then go into C:\Users and copy my user profile to another drive.  Re-install windows, create the same profile, and then paste over the new profile with the old one.  You will have to re-install all your programs though.  Then you just re-format all the other drives of data you don't want to save.

Windows is actually offering you to download W10 on a USB here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
All you need is a formatted USB (8GB or over). Here's a video guide on how to do it:

And yes, you should do it! Just remember, that one HDD you want to keep all the data on, you'll need the know what name/type it is. And you're good to go.

The name of the drive won't change right? Cause right now it's called Local Disk ( F: )

Wait say I reset my pc. That means I'm going to have to download all the drivers that I currently have. Also the ethernet one?

It wont be named Local Disk F or something like that. It's going to be called Disk 1 Partition 0 for an example.
I don't know how many SSD's & HDD's you have - but does your HDD's have the same amount of storage?

Then it's easy - when you're at the installation and you're about to format the harddrives, simply just don't format the one who has 500GB.

Depends.  When you say reset.  If it's Windows 10 and you're doing just a clean wipe of the system, your drivers will stay as they are part of the OS Recovery.  If you do a clean install, you WILL have to install your drivers as well.  Clean install will probably be your best improvement, and will get rid of a lot of unnecessary temp data that has been collected over time, including ones tied to old OS updates.
