Tablet for handwriting that doesn't break the bank

Looking for a tablet, preferably with Windows 10, to use for note taking in class.  I like the Surface Pro for having a stylus that goes with it, but it is out of the price range.  Any other options, maybe around the $500 price range that are any good?

Could try to source a second hand ThinkPad x220t, x230t, or a ThinkPad Yoga. All of which come with pen input. My personal favourites would be the x220t and x230t.

One of the cheapest two-in-ones I could find is the HP x2 Detachable Laptop. It has an Intel Atom Z8350 (which is clocked at 1.44 Ghz), with Intel Integrated Graphics 400, it has Windows 10 64-bit, 2 GBs of RAM (though you could double the amount for only $30 more), and a hard drive with 32 GBs of space (that can also be upgraded to 64 GBs for $50). However, it doesn't come with a stylus.
