So I'm looking to get a 2016 Razer Blade (Yes, I'm aware of the hatred this forum has for the blade. I don't care, I've used one and love it. Thermals and sound didn't come off as a huge problem for my workload and I can't be near an overtly "gamery" looking laptop, so no, I'm not really open to alternatives). Anyway, so sorry for rant, I mean no disrespect, but I've seen 27 million posts trying to convince people not to buy Razer and figured I'd save you all the trouble. Anyway, my question is this: for extended trips without access to power, is it possible to charge the Blade 2016 from a USB-C or other power bank and if so, which one? There's very little information available online and some searches didn't really give me a conclusive answer. If it must be charged while not in use, that's fine. I'm totally good with closing the lid and sticking it in my backpack to charge, I just would love to know if this is possible so I can come up with a travel bag setup with a single power cord and several power banks for DSLR/video cameras/phones/laptop/perephirals and get that done around the same time I get the machine.

Thanks a bunch guys!

Hmm,

I couldn't see why you couldn't. However there's a good chance that a power bank won't fully charge the laptop, and even if it does it will be a very slow process.

It will be more like trickle charging rather than charging.

Some electronics don't like to trickle charge, and instead just refuse the power source.

It's not a race to the bottom.

You can't charge a laptop that requires a 19V DC input from a 5V DC power bank, USB-C or not.    You'll need a powerbank that is actually capable of supplying the 19V that the laptop requires.  They are available, but good ones are not cheap.
