More ssd questions/ issues?

So, yesterday I was able to install a ssd, move the files over (clone), and someone was able to walk me through and get the mobo to recognize it as my boot drive. All was working well yesterday (even restarted it a few times to see if it would work). Today, I got an error, something along the lines of: boot configuration data is missing... Got that fixed and now my os has booted up again. However, Now I have this extra file/ partition. As you can see here:

I know I probably shouldn't delete it, but at the same time, why is it assigned to drive e (I thought the partition is normally hidden and is not assigned to a specific letter?)

 

If this is normal, how can I hide it so that I don't accidentally do something to it. Thanks

EDIT: The first two steps are redundant since you screen capped the app in question.

 

To unassign drive letter

1. Log in as Administrator.
2. Open Disk Management. Type the following at the command prompt:

   C:\> diskmgmt.msc

3. Right-click the partition or logical drive and click Change Drive Letter and Path.
4. In the Change Drive Letter and Paths dialog box, click the drive letter and click Remove.

Oh, so removed doesn't actually delete the partition. Alright, this was able to remove the drive and hide the partition. Thanks! I assume that even though the drive is removed and gone, I will not run into an error like above again? With the whole boot config data is missing?
