Can't change NAT Type

AngelLV

Hi, recently I bought a game and it takes a lot of time for me to join someone, when it should actually be almost instant. It says with red that the NAT type is strict and it should be green in order to have everything working fine. I've contacted game's support page and They said to flush dns, restart router, open ports, turn off windows firewall, none of which worked. I don't know what to do, every other game works fine. My router is connected to another router, but I don't think that would matter.

NAT types in games describes how much security is in between the server and your machine. It could be due to the double router, idk really.

Is routing disabled on that device? I'm guessing not. Why do you have it attached to another router? If it's to make more ports, disable routing or use a switch if you can't figure out how.

using a double router is really, really bad practice unless you know what you are doing.

Recently I upgraded my internet to fiber optics but I didn't want to reconfigure the new router, so I just plugged an internet cable from the old one to the new one. Im not sure if routing is disabled on (which?) device.

Could be double natting due to the other router which others have said, disable dhcp in the other router or just remove the router completely.
