Get a mouse with a lower lift of distance, most FPS mice barely move at all when you lift them up. 

My G Pro has been serving me well.   It tracks up to around 1 cd thickness above my pad, so there's barely any travel when lifting to go back to center.

i never used mouse pad my whole life , today i bought cheap mouse pad but mouse keeps tracking motion when its 1 cm / 0.4 inch high from surface and its really annoying when i play shooters .can anybody give me any suggestions how can i stop it ?
