Hi, Everybody

 

I am going too (build) a Media Centre PC I already have some parts.

 

Specs:

 

I5 3470 (Already own)

GTX650 (Already own)

HDD 1 TB WD Green (Already own)

Fractal Core 1000 USB 3.0

Gigiabyte GA-H61M-D2H-USB3

300n PCI wireless card

Hyper TX3 EVO or Stock intel cooler

 

It has too be as quite as possible. Is this fine or is something else better (about same budget)

Just run the on board graphics and save the GPU for something else - the fans on the GPU add to the noise and Intel HD is perfectly fine for playing videos at 1080p.

Just run the on board graphics and save the GPU for something else - the fans on the GPU add to the noise and Intel HD is perfectly fine for playing videos at 1080p.

It seems all you need is the psu and some ram. 

Other than that, you'll have a pretty beast media pc.

But its just laying around and the fan is pretty silent see pic

Sorry have CX500 watt psu

And 8gb 1333 Mhz ram

Well you're set. If the system is loud, think of replacing the fans. Otherwise, keep it as is.

Yes it has a big fan, but that's still excess noise. Try it in, and if you find it's whirring up too much then take it out. Like I said - it's not needed in a media PC. If you want silence you need less fans, not more.

Yeah, don't waste money on a CPU cooler, the stock one is so adequate for your build. Looks really nice though, I recently built in the Core 1000 - it's lovely.
