Battery mark

Taking apart my laptop and found the battery to have almost a hole mark...is this safe?

As long as its only the protection and not an actual cell, its fine

I'd inspect the compartment where the battery sits and make sure nothing is stabbing it. Other than that provided it's only a hole in the black outer material you should be fine. If the metal inner layer gets punctured...well, I don't think I have to tell you what could happen.

Just make sure you have a fire extigusher around, it dosent look like its punctured the cell so you should be fine. Just remember P.A.S.S (pull the pin, aim at the base of the fire, sweep from side to side)

Yeah ordered a replacement it hasn't been a problem and only noticed it when because I installed a new ssd but better cautious
