ISP throttling

Is there any way one can bypass ISP throttling without VPN (paid/free) ? how ?

VPN would be the best way.

Can only torrenting be throttled ? rest everything works fine here. just when m up for torrents thats when it starts to slow down !

They can throttle any type of traffic. You'll probably find your ISP throttles P2P traffic, which is what torrents tend to use. 

 

Best way to not get throttled is to use a VPN. Free proxy servers work for webpages and such, but for a torrent client I don't know how you'd use one. 

 

There's a tonne of VPNs out there with free versions, though they normally have some limitations.

Use a Socks5 or HTTPS proxy within the torrent client , plenty of free ones knocking about just find one local to you.

Not providing any walk-through or details of the proxies themselves, but its a bypass that is an alternate to a VPN.

If you would let us know which ISP you are using, some people might be able to help a bit more.

 

Although one easy way most people forget is to ensure that the port is open, and that you are connectible to the swarm, if not, then you likely won't have good speeds. μtorrent also has μtp which encrypts the traffic to capable peers. Have you tried both?

i did not understand this part. I am from india, mumbai and my ISP is Machone broadband current subscription 100Mbps

The Epic browser allows you to encrypt your data or use a proxy which stops throttling and doesn't have a performance hit surprisingly.

There is nothing you can do to get around it. Some ISPs throttle certain content and can be avoided by VPNs but for the most part if they want to throttle your connection you cannot avoid it. 

 

Also you might not be throttled when torrenting. Hell, your ISP might just have shit trunks to reach those IPs. 

 

Reason I know, Tier 2 at an ISP. Luckily we dont throttle as it does nothing but piss customers off.
