New Builder and new build

Hello everyone,

I am a new builder trying to build a desktop that I can use for recording and gaming. (Probably have heard this a million times.) But I would love some criticism on the build I am looking at. I chose the parts based on reviews, budget, and many hours of research. I am basically looking for objective views on what I have, any incompatibility issues I may have missed, and any recomendations that may work better without breaking the bank. I plan on upgrading parts later once I learn more and have more money.

- Asus 970 Pro Gaming/Aura ATX

- AMD FX-8320 Processor

- WD Blue 1TB 7200 RPM HDD

- Thermaltake TR2 500 watts

- Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB Kit (2x4GB) DDR3

- Thermaltake ATX Mid Tower Case (CA-1G2-00m1wn-00)

- MSI GeForce GTX 1050 TI Gaming X 4G

- Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB (2.5-inch)

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

Dont get an 8320. Either wait for Ryzen or pick up an i3 6100/i5 6500. Both will outperform the 8320 (especially the i5 6500) and are much more power efficient and support DDR4/PCIe Gen 3.

FX is old and should be discarded

TR2 is a bomb, in a bad way

850 Evo is overpriced

Get a better PSU for the money that you are spending on the 850 EVO. Trust me, the heart of your build is more important than your storage.

Please do not get an AMD FX Series CPU. It will become obsolete as soon as Ryzen comes out and it has horrible single core performance.

Don't bother until Ryzen comes out, unless you absolutely need to get a computer in the next week.

Please don't quote the OP. It's completely unnecessary. Also, if it's that long it's best to snip it.
