cpu & ram doesn't work at full speed

Hi,

..my cpu and ram doesn't show their full speed on CPU-Z, task manager and so on .. Any idea what may cause this?

Ddr3 is 800mhz x2 dualchannel is 1600mhz also the CPU is idle

DDR3 is the RAM which your running. DDR means double data rate, so multiply your ram frequency in CPU Z by 2.

you have DDR, double data rate, the number CPU-Z shows will be half of the correct frequency.

it's less than 10 mhz, It's not something you should really worry about.  Also, reading the ram value: its double data rate ram so you're getting 1596, which is pretty close to 1600mhz.  Also, your computer is at idle, most cpu's down clock because of power saving features.  mine drops to 1.4 ghz at idle.

I know how DDR is, but I've seen same system but the cpu is 3.5 or even 3.499 and ram at 800.1.. This is on full load and is just the same as on idle.

I'd trust CPU-Z over the task manager for CPU clock.  I really wouldn't worry about 9mhz (you shouldn't even be worried about the 70 mhz you're supposedly missing).

"problem" fixed .. I updated my BIOS to the first version F1 from F4.
